After taking New York Fashion Week by storm last month, Art Hearts Fashion is coming back home to Los Angeles. Art Hearts, which also hits Miami, was founded in 2011 by designer and philanthropist Erik Rosete. The event stands out from other FW happenings by incorporating the non-fashion visual arts in their accompanying gallery.
The event will start off with the customary Opening Gala at W. Last year, Irvin Rivera took portraits to benefit the Portraits of Hope Project. The photos have since been collected into a book. This year, Rivera’s portraits will benefit Gabriella Kasley, an altruist battling AIDS and cancer.
The itinerary for the following days can be viewed on the Art Hearts website. The lineup includes returning favorites such as Koco Blaq, Responsive Textiles, and Rosete’s own Mister Triple X.
The Art Hearts Gallery will feature work by returning and new artists, and will also host musical performances throughout the week. This season’s event comes as a long-form profile of Art Director Eugene Huffman is finalized.
Art Hearts Fashion is invite-only. For media submissions, please email email@example.com.
